John R. Perry

Attorney John R. Perry obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Virginia in 1990. He obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1995. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1996.

From 1996-2000, Mr. Perry focused extensively on corporate law. His experience includes mergers and acquisitions and general corporate representation of small to medium-sized companies as well as general civil litigation. He has experience in both large and small law firm settings, in addition to serving as general counsel for a start-up telecommunications company.

Mr. Perry has practiced exclusively US immigration and nationality law since 2000. He has extensive experience in all areas of immigration law, but his background in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions makes him especially effective at counseling investor and business clients.

Mr. Perry is licensed to practice law in the State Courts of California and the California Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Mr. Perry has been awarded Avvo’s “Client’s Choice Awards.”

Katherina “Kate” B. Alznauer

Attorney Katherina B. Alznauer joined Perry & Alznauer, P.C as an Associate Attorney in 2014 and became a named partner in 2019. She is the head of the Business and Non-Immigrant Visa Departments of the firm.

Attorney Katherina B. Alznauer obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law in 2011. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2004. She is licensed to practice law by the State of California Bar in 2014. She was admitted to the California Supreme Court and to the United States District Court, Central District of California, in 2014.

One of her notable works include assisting the LGBT community in acquiring equal immigration law benefits, family unity and seeking political asylum for those whose rights are abused abroad. Ms. Alznauer have more than 15 years of experience in Immigration & Nationality Law. During this time, she gained enormous experience in both family and business immigration. Ms. Alznauer’s current law practice at Perry & Alznauer is focused on complex business immigration, aliens of extraordinary ability (scientists, artists, businessmen and others). She has extensive experience with visas and green cards for investors, work, and student visas, as well as international business transfers to the United States.

Most recently, Ms. Alznauer was selected as 2021 Rising Star by the Southern California Super Lawyers. She was also recognized by the American Institute of Legal Advocates recognized as a Rising Star in the field of Immigration Law in 2018. She is also a member of the Lawyers of Distinction Directory for 2018.

An immigrant herself, Ms. Alznauer knows the struggles of acquiring a work permit and green card and frequently represents clients during their interviews at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Ms. Alznauer is a member of American Immigration Lawyers Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, State of California Bar and American Bar Association.

She was born in Belarus and is fluent in Russian and Belorussian. She reads Polish, Ukrainian, and French.
